"Experimental" APIs

When an OpenFin API is marked or indicated as being "experimental," the API is in beta and OpenFin is seeking feedback regarding the API’s capabilities. An experimental API will migrate to non-experimental status after a period of time that varies from case to case, but usually spans at least two releases of the OpenFin Runtime.

An experimental API is fully tested and available for use in a production environment. However, be aware that feedback can result in changes to the API’s scope or shape. If you use an experimental API, be prepared to update application code when upgrading to a later version of OpenFin.
